Had an interesting day today: saw some of my photography on the big screen at the Odeon in Guildford. It was part of "Creative Day" at our company, and our company Photo club made a presentation. It was pretty inspiring, now I want all my work to be displayed on 30 foot high screens:)
Creative day was a way for everybody in the comany to do something beyond their regular job. It got me thinking how important side projects can be; how important as an artist it is to 'sharpen the blade' every now and then. I did a project with a designer and 2 programmers where we knocked up an idea for a game and made a working level in under 2 days. It really showed me how the job fills up to the time allowed to it. Having said that, I would have liked an extra day or 2 to polish and finish the thing but hey... Overall a fun and inspiring day. I work with some very talented people.
